PAPUAAROUND – The Papua Provincial Government (Pemprov) said that holding the Papua Street Carnival, which was officially opened by President Joko Widodo last Friday (7/7), was a venue for the growth of new talents for young people in Cenderawasih.
The Head of the Papua Province Communication and Information Service, Jery Agus Yudianto said, his party gave extraordinary appreciation to young Papuans who presented various kinds of expertise before President Jokowi.
“We are very proud that there has been an extraordinary leap that young Papuans have experienced. After the inauguration of the Papua Youth Creative Hub (PYCH), now we have seen the results of young Papuans in the Papua Street Carnival activities,” said Jerry.
According to Jery, the government really supports what young Papuans have done. For this reason, he hopes that activities like this can continue to be carried out and spur the potentials of other young people.
“We are very grateful for the President’s support for continuing to pay attention to Papuan children,” he said.
He hopes that activities like this can be an inspiration for other young people. So that the potentials in various sectors in Indonesia can be explored more deeply. For example, at the Papua Street Carnival, young Papuans present extraordinary products and hope that in the future it can be even more massive, so that they can dominate the local market and even go abroad.
Previously, President Jokowi officially opened the Papua Street Carnival which was held in the area of the Governor of Papua’s office, on Dok II, North Jayapura District, Jayapura City, Friday (7/7).
