PAPUAAROUND – Sail Teluk Cenderawasih 2023 will be held in November in Biak Numfor Regency, Papua Province. The launch will be held on February 1-3, 2023.
The Chief Executive of Sail Teluk Cenderawasih 2023, Muhammad Musa’ad, assessed that the event was an important moment to introduce all the potential of the province on the island of Papua, to the international world.
“This is an important momentum for Papua, in particular, to introduce the potential that Papua has to all Indonesians, even the world. That there is great potential that Papua has, especially Cenderawasih Bay, as one of the areas that has marine resources, potential maritime resources,” said Musa’ad who is also the Acting Governor of Southwest Papua, thursday (2/2/2023).
Cenderawasih Bay Sail activities, he said, are also in line with the wishes and commitments of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to make Indonesia the world’s maritime axis. The event is also expected to present investors to invest in the Land of Papua.
“Therefore, Sail Teluk Cenderawasih is a momentum that must be used to introduce the potential of Papua Province. We also expect investors to be present, who come to invest in Papua. Papua is safe, Papua is a blessed land, as a little paradise that falls to earth. So you don’t have to be afraid to come to Papua, anywhere in the area for investment, you must get great benefits,” said Musa’ad.
“(Sail Teluk Cenderawasih) At the same time in order to increase our nationalism,” he added.

Musa’ad revealed, Sail Teluk Cenderawasih is an agenda that has long been designed by Papua Province. All efforts have been made by all parties, so that this event can be held. For that, after finally being able to be held, they were very happy and grateful.
He hopes that Sail Teluk Cenderawasih can be carried out regularly, every year. So that the positive goals of organizing the event, can be realized. This expectation has been communicated to relevant parties, such as the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment.
“We believe that building Papua cannot be done with just one event. Building Papua requires great energy for continuity, and the President’s great hope for the acceleration of Papua’s development in the sense of the entire Papua Island, can be realized,” said Musa’ad.
