Riau Regional Police Sends 105 Brimob Personnel to Papua

Pekanbaru – A total of 105 Satbrimob of the Riau Police were deployed to Papua on Saturday night (22/1/2022).

The departure ceremony took place at the cargo terminal field of the Sultan Syarif Kasim II airport in Pekanbaru.

The apple was led directly by the Riau Police Chief, Inspector General Mohammad Iqbal.

Their families and relatives witnessed the departure of Brimob members to Papua.

Brimob personnel were also seen hugging and kissing their families while saying goodbye.

Hundreds of personnel from the Brimob Unit of the Riau Police have served as Under Operations Control (BKO) of the Papuan Police.

“I convey that this is a noble assignment ordered by the National Police Headquarters to the Brimob Unit of the Riau Police, to be tasked with carrying out police duties, within the jurisdiction of the Papuan Police, to be the BKO of the Papuan Police,” said Inspector General Pol Iqbal in a written statement received by Kompas. com, Saturday.

His group had everything needed before the Riau Police Satbrimob staff were dispatched.

“First, the quality of human resources, God willing, under the leadership of the Brimob Dansat, all the departing human resources, the departing troops are ready. Technical ability, tactical ability. They already have all forms of Brimob capabilities,” said Iqbal.

Iqbal emphasized that as a member of the National Police, he automatically has a soul that helps, protects and protects the community.

Brimob troops seemed agile, agile and well trained. However, humanistic elements are still raised.

“That is the hallmark of Brimob personnel. (Tonight) there are 105 personnel departing, God willing, they will be there for 1.5 months. I let them go tonight, there are also relatives. Wife, parents, sister, and others,” said the former Head of the Police Public Relations Division.

Iqbal said he was proud of the family’s assistance in the departure of the Riau Police Mobile Brigade personnel to Papua.

“Tonight, Brimob was asked by the state to do several things. I am sure that with the capabilities possessed by the Riau Police Mobile Brigade, the leadership will not hesitate to release all of his colleagues to carry out a noble mission,” said Iqbal.

He said the dispatched personnel were supported by technical and tactical training and capabilities, as well as other support equipment.

The Riau Police Chief also advised, as believers, they should pray that this humanitarian mission can run as expected.

After the debriefing, the event continued with a prayer together. Inspector General Iqbal gave a gift of supplies symbolically received by the assigned Company Commander.

Together with the relatives and families of the personnel, Iqbal departed by greeting the members one by one, and giving enthusiasm for security duties with the various dynamics that exist in Papua.

Also attending this activity were the Deputy Chief of the Riau Police, Brigadier General Tabana Bangun, Irwasda Kombes Hermansyah, Dansat Brimob Kombes Ronny Lumban Gaol and the Main Officials of the Riau Police.
