Papua was named the 2022 Informative Province for the first time since 2014. This achievement is based on the results of the 2022 Information Disclosure Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev-KI) in Jakarta.
Jeri Agus Yudianto, Head of the Communication and Informatics Service (Diskominfo) of Papua, said that this achievement was achieved from a long journey in an effort to improve the performance of information and documentation management in the Papua Provincial Government.
In addition, continued Jeri, the strong commitment of the Regional Leader, namely the Governor of Papua Lukas Enembe, encouraged the officials under him to manage information and documentation openly and transparently in accordance with existing regulations.
“Starting from the Regional Secretary who is the superior of the Information and Document Management Officer (PPID Utama), then the Main PPID which is currently held ex-officio by the Head of the Communication and Information Service, then the PPID superior (the Heads of SKPD), both of them must be open in public services,” explained Jeri, in Jayapura, Tuesday (20/12/2022).

Meanwhile, the results of MONEV-KI 2022 experienced a surge in participation, with a total of 372 participants from all over Indonesia.
Consists of Ministries/Institutions, State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), State Universities, Provincial Governments and Political Parties.
“Meanwhile, the assessment results include being less informative, quite informative, towards informative and informative,” he said.
As is known, MONEV-KI 2022 carries the theme of Digitizing Information Disclosure of Public Bodies in the Covid-19 Recovery Period.

Meanwhile, the assessment aspects include continuous Information Service Innovation including Innovation Renewal, Use of Technology and Information, Benefit of Innovation, Uniqueness and Accessibility and Strategy of public bodies in implementing information disclosure itself on an ongoing basis.
Clarification of the assessment is also carried out by the Assessment Team consisting of central information commissioners, academics, practitioners or community organizations who have competence in the field of information disclosure.
The success in 2022 is a trigger for enthusiasm for the province of Papua to maintain and improve its performance in managing Information Disclosure within the scope of the Government so that the public or the public can be well served and the Government’s performance is more transparent in accordance with applicable regulations.
The 2022 award was attended by the Coordinating Minister for Political Law and Security (Menkopolhukam) RI, a number of Governors, Echelon I Officials at the Ministry level, Rectors, BUMN Leaders, Political Party Leaders and for the Governor of Papua represented by the Head of the Papua Communication and Information Service.
