“The peak density of Eid Al-Fitr homecoming is estimated to occur on D-4, namely Thursday, April 29, 2022 with the number of passengers reaching 3,597. Meanwhile, the peak density of Eid backflow is estimated to occur on D+5, namely on Friday, May 8, 2022, there are 3,134 passengers,” said Sentani Airport’s Stakeholder Relations Manager Surya Eka, Sunday (24 April 2022).
Surya also estimates that daily passenger traffic at Sentani Airport will increase by 37 percent during the Idul Fitri Transit Command Post 2022, to an average of 5,069 passengers per day from the previous 3,700 passengers per day.
To that end, Iwan Novi Hantoro, the General Manager of Sentani Airport, was officially opened at Sentani Airport on Sunday.

Surya said the implementation of the command post involved all stakeholders at Sentani Airport, from the Air Force, Polsek KP3, Koramil, LPPNPI/Airnav, Airlines, Ground Handling, KKP.
