Ministry of Trade and SRC Hold Training for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Papua

MSME Training for Local Young Entrepreneurs in Jayapura.

Jayapura – The Ministry of Trade in collaboration with the Indonesian Presidential Special Staff Team, the Kitong Bisa Foundation and the Sampoerna Retail Community (SRC) Traditional Grocery Store, held a micro, small and medium enterprises training for local young entrepreneurs in Jayapura, Papua, last week.

This event was held to encourage economic growth through the digitization of micro, small and medium enterprises.

On this occasion, the Sampoerna Retail Community (SRC) Traditional Grocery Store introduced the AYO SRC application.

This application is expected to help micro, small and medium enterprises players develop their business by utilizing technological innovations in the service sector, merchandise inventory, and other fields.

Since its founding in 2008, SRC has grown rapidly in Indonesia’s 34 provinces, according to Subur, Sampoerna’s Head of Zone East Indonesia.

SRC member grocery stores spread from Sabang to Merauke and from West to East.

“Through Sampoerna’s collaboration with the Ministry of Trade and the Kitong Bisa Foundation, we officially launch the AYO SRC application in Tanah Papua.”

“We believe the AYO SRC ecosystem as a digital economy development is one of the efforts to encourage the development of micro, small and medium enterprises in Papua,” said Subur.

Currently, 400 grocery stores in Papua are part of the SRC network.

Most of them are in Jayapura and Sorong.

Subur hopes that with SRC, traditional grocery stores can adapt to changing times, especially in the era of digital transformation.
