The General Election Commission or KPU of Biak Numfor Regency, Papua has appointed 177 members of the district election committee or PPD for the 2024 elections in 19 districts/sub-districts.
The Chairman of the Biak Numfor Election Commission, Mathias Jan Morin, in the KPU decree, said that based on the results of the KPU selection and the determination of the KPU Number: 237/PP.04.I-PU/9106/2022, it has determined the members of the district election committee in 19 districts.
“For participants the sequence numbers 1-5 are designated as elected PPD members and sequence numbers 6-10 as replacement candidates between times,” said Jan Morin in Biak, Monday (26/12/2022) yesterday.

In the 2024 simultaneous elections, the Biak Numfor Regency KPU will recruit as many as 5,934 district/sub-district election committee (PPD) officers in 19 districts and 257 villages/villages and 14 villages for the Voting Committee (PPS).
“The recruitment of thousands of election organizers in 2024 uses the KPU Member Information System application and ad hoc body (SIAKBA),” said Biak Numfor KPU Chairman Mathias Jan Morin.
This is related to the task of the 2024 Election Ad Hoc Board, which will carry out the 2024 simultaneous election stages at the village/village and district/sub-district levels.

Meanwhile, the Head of Samofa District of Biak Numfor Regency, Adam Umar, admitted that five candidates for the elected members of the Samofa PPD would be inaugurated by the KPU on January 4, 2023.
“The information we received regarding the inauguration of elected PPD members for the 19 districts is just waiting for the inauguration scheduled for Wednesday, January 4, 2023,” said Samofa District Head Adam Umar in response to the planned inauguration of PPD members by KPU Biak Numfor.
In the simultaneous elections in Biak Numfor Regency on February 14, 2024, as many as 17 political parties participating in the elections will be verified and given a sequence number determined by the KPU.
