PAPUAAROUND – A team of investigators from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) examined the wife and children of Papua’s inactive Governor Lukas Enembe, yesterday, Wednesday (18/1/2023).
Yulce Wenda, Lukas’ wife and son, Abstract Bona Timoramo, were examined as witnesses in a case of alleged bribery and gratification related to a Papua Provincial Government infrastructure project, involving Lukas Enembe as a suspect.
“The inspection is scheduled to be carried out at the KPK Red and White House,” said Head of the KPK News Section (Kabag) Ali Fikri in a statement in Jakarta, Wednesday (18/1/2023).
In addition to Lukas Enembe’s wife and children, the KPK investigating team had to investigate one more person. The witness was Yonater Karomba, an employee of PT Cenderawasih Mas.
It is known that Lukas Enembe allegedly received a bribe of IDR 1 billion from the Director of PT Tabi Bangun Papua (TBP), Rijatono Lakka, related to the Papua Provincial Government infrastructure project. In addition, Luke allegedly received gratuities from several other parties.
In investigating this case, the KPK has blocked accounts worth about 76.2 billion. The report allegedly belonged to Luke and his wife Yulce Wenda. In addition, the KPK also asked the Director General of Immigration of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights to prevent Yulce Wenda from traveling abroad.
