PapuaAround.com – John Wempi Wetipo has officially resigned as Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (Wamendagri). His resignation is documented in Presidential Decree (Keppres) No. 62/M, issued on September 27, 2024. “The decree includes a note of thanks for his service and dedication while holding the position,” Ari explained in a text message confirmed by Tempo on Monday, September 30, 2024.

Wempi’s resignation concerns his candidacy as a regional head in the upcoming 2024 Regional Election (Pilkada).
