Jayapura – A police officer named Bharatu Bachtiar became the victim of a shooting by the Papuan Armed Criminal Group (KKB).
The incident occurred on Monday morning (17/01/2022) in the Kiwirok area, Bintang Mountains Regency, Papua.
“One of the officers named Bharatu Bachtiar was shot in the left shoulder,” said the Head of the Bintang Mountains Police AKBP Cahyo Sukarnito via text message, Monday.
Bharatu Bachtiar was taken to Bhayangkara Jayapura Hospital.

Shot while trying to enter the post
Cahyo said that at that time Bachtiar was about to enter the post.
He was standing in front of the post door to the left. The weather at the post at that time was foggy.
“At 06.52 WIT, Bharatu Bachtiar was going back to the post & there was a 100-meter shot from the left of the bush post,” said Cahyo.
